He had received 800 ml of autologous blood, 940 ml of 25% human albumin and 720 mg of fibrin glue. Anti-human leukocyte antigen (HLA) antibody is frequently produced as a result of alloimmunization induced by homologous blood transfusions and even infusion of human plasma preparations including soluble HLA antigens. LCT reactive antibodies produced in the patient were proved to be not against HLA, as they were not absorbed by pooled platelets from type 0 blood group multiple donors, nor reacted with any of 18 B-cell lines. The antibodies reacted only with panel T-cells from A Led, B Led donors. These antibodies identified were anti-A and -B, mainly combined ABHLewis antigens, as the results demonstrated by lymphocytotoxicity test using the patient's sera after absorption with homologous red blood cells, lymphocytes, platelets, and with columns coated by A, B and Lewis substances.
