The article notes the significant influence of flora and fauna on the process of understanding the diverse phenomena of reality of the authors. Their value orientations are compared. The similarities and distinctions of poetic directions of poets are traced and features of their art world are revealed. A comparison is made between national components in the works of Philip Larkin and Ted Hughes as representatives of the „Movement” and the desire to expand the poetic horizons of Charles Tomlinson, due to the influence of American modernism. The aim of the work is to analyze the interrelation of ideological, stylistic and phonic levels of a poetic work (M. L.
