Preparednessisthemost critical phase in the range of disaster management, the inadequacy of disaster preparednessplanning has created acriticalsituation,increasing thesuffering of survivors and loss of life.Thepurposeof this study isto analyse social capital factors that most influence thefamily preparednesstofacetheimpact ofpa nd emi c c o vi d - 1 9 a s disaster inMalangCity.Thisresearch uses descriptive analytic design withCrosssectional study approach.Respondentinthisresearch is112HeadofFamily(KK)byusing systematicrandomsampling.Thisresearch was conductedintwosub-districts namelySukunandDinoyo.Chisquare testresultsshowthatthereis asocialcapital relationship(p=0.000) towardsfamily preparednesstoface the impact ofdisaster inMalangcity.Logisticregression test results show that social capital has the strongeststrengthof relationship(p= 0.024, OR= 2.75) than other factors. Thisresult shows there isa positive relationshipbetween family socialcapitalinfacingp a nd emi c c o v i d -1 9 disaster impact inMalangCity.Thismeansthatgoodsocial capital willincrease the family preparednessinthe face ofdisaster impact.The results of this study are expectedto be the basis and reference materialsfor disaster nursingservicesaswellasthebasisforthelocalgovernment ofMalangto encouragethe positive attitudeof the family towardspreparednessby utilizing socialcapital asan importantcomponentand utilize socialcohesionand social networkindisaster planning andmanagement,willprepare fordisaster.
