For this reason, it is essential to perform all the pre-surgical and postsurgical exams available, since iatrogenic ectasias can be prevented. Likewise, the biomechanical aspects of the cornea after laser surgery, such as the percentage of altered tissue and residual stromal thickness, provide extremely important data to determine the future behavior of the cornea after procedure. In this case report, the patient presented with penetrating keratoplasty caused by unilateral post-LASIK ectasia. For this reason, he was referred to optometry for visual assessment and rehabilitation, where a complete examination was carried out and the existing alternatives for the correction of the case were analyzed in depth.
