EnglishThe Valerian thermal complex, the largest in extension of the province of Cuenca (Spain), was ostentatiously decorated with elaborate mosaics in floors and walls and marble revetments made with materials from almost the entire Mediterranean arch. In a building of these characteristics it was frequent to accompany and complete the ornamentation of pavements and walls with other decorative elements such as sculptures. The work presented here reflects the sculptural findings occurred during the campaign of archaeological excavation carried out in 2018 in some of the rooms of public baths of the Hispano–Roman city of Valeria.
