Sonographic diagnosis of simultaneous bilateral quadriceps tendon rupture

Abstract Simultaneous, bilateral quadriceps tendon rupture is a rare pathology, commonly predisposed by trauma or systemic disorders. Diagnosis based on history, physical examination and plain films can be delayed in acute injury. We report a case of simultaneous bilateral quadriceps tendon rupture that was diagnosed with sonographic evaluation 6 weeks after the initial injury.
