In this report we discuss the issues of life satisfaction for the elderly nun. A modification of the Philadelphia Geriatric Center Morale Scale was used to evaluate the feelings and attitudes of a group of aged women religious. Older persons drawn from a diverse religious background were used as a control group. Results suggest that strongly held religious values aid the elderly nun as she ages, and that her responses are different from her age mates. Finally, there is a discussion of some of the experiences of the aging religious which make her maturation unique.
