An MOCVD process was subsequently carried out to deposit a thin alumina layer on the sprayed MCrAlY coating. Cyclic oxidation tests were conducted at high temperature on the alumina/MCrAlY coating system. Both SEM and XRD analyses were used to characterize the thermally grown oxide after cyclic oxidation.
