Immunohistochemistry investigations were undertaken. <b>Results:</b> The multinucleated giant cells were strongly positive for RANKL, cathepsin K, and HSP-90, and consistently positive for lysozyme, TNF-α, CD31, CD68, MMP-2, and MMP-9.
