The highest frequency of pH was observed in the range 6.5–7.0. The 621 pH values recorded were all lying between 5.18 and 9.00. At most of the stations the pH trend is decreasing towards the acid range. The overall probability of occurrence of acid rain was found to be about 2% (pH < 5.6).
