Effect of two node and three node cuttings was compared with serpentine layering for plant growth parameters, survival percentage and photosynthetic pigments. The highest survival percentage (100%) was observed in serpentine layering after 47 and 75 d of operations, while the mortality percentage increased in both the stem cutting methods studied during this period. The method, being simple, could be adopted by the farmers also.
