The hospitalization was complicated by bacteraemic ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) caused by multidrug-resistant <em>Acinetobacter baumannii</em> (MDR-AB) isolated on pleural fluid culture, treated with colistin and cefiderocol for about 3 weeks.
