Abstract: Phalotris Cope, 1862 is a fossorial dipsadid snake genus that encompasses 15 species, distributed mainly in open areas from Northeastern Brazil to Southern Argentina. Some of its species are known from small series, and there is little to no knowledge on their morphological variation and species delimitations.
