In Argentine and Brazilian cinematography this was a very explored topic. In more recent periods, gender issues have become part of the concerns of researchers about migration processes. Taking as sources of research the Latin American films Bolivia (Israel Adrián Caetano, 2001) and Estômago (Marcos Jorge, 2007), we analyze the representations about the migratory movements approached in these films from a gender perspective.
