The objective of the present study was to understand how the effectiveness of the right to food is addressed in the scientific literature both in the area of law and of public health. This was a study with qualitative approach conducted through a lexical content analysis of scientific production in the chosen areas, using the Iramuteq software. It was concluded that there is a significant difference in the approach regarding the effectiveness of the right to food by researchers of both areas.
