Prospecção acadêmica dos projetos financiados sobre dengue no Brasil: uso da ferramenta Scriptlattes como apoio ao planejamento de pesquisas em Saúde Pública
Introduction: Dengue is a Neglected Disease (ND) characterized by acute infection, and may present severe evolution according to how it presents itself. Because it has become a public health problem with great impact, it requires constant monitoring and analysis. Aim: To map and analyze master, doctoral and postdoctoral research projects, in progress in 2013 in Brazil, and related to dengue, and which had the support of development agencies, to create a prospect of future results as well as their potential application for disease control, based on data from Lattes Platform. Methodology: The Scriptlattes tool was used, based on text files containing researchers, teachers and students lists, that had the descriptor "dengue" in their curricula, in some Research Group in which they were registered, or that had some publication in partnership with the researchers who met the previous requirements. Results: It was noted that studies related to improvement of drugs for immunization were the most frequent, and most of them highlighted as a next step the need to verify the efficacy of such drugs, which would be a trend for next projects. Conclusion: The current projects at the time of this experimentation did little change in the current dengue panorama in Brazil. The prospective look demonstrated here allows the opportunities identification for partnerships between companies and research centers, as well as support of government agencies that promote research with a focus on main needs of country.
