A descriptive approach was used to review companies' experiences of knowledge-sharing and the influencing factors. A framework was created to describe the relationships between factors affecting knowledge-sharing. The results suggest that factors inhibiting or facilitating the phases of knowledge management can be grouped by personal and organisational context.
