The age that was considered not to have the emotional maturity to live a household. This study aimed to determine the description of household problems and determined the effect of Islamic counseling to improve the emotional maturity of early marriage couples. This study used mix-method with experimental research. The subjects of this study were early married couples who married in 2016 in the KUA of Pakis District, Magelang, as many as 16 couples. The results showed that the problems that arose in early marriage were the economy, conflict with parents, adaptation to the environment, and household violence.
