The Department of Linguistics with its Bachelor program “English Language and English Literature” is especially popular. Today effective higher education is impossible without using a competence approach. The main goal is to make the graduates competent enough to work professionally. Here English Pragmatics and namely English Speech Act Theory are in the focus of our attention.
