La réciprocité des savoirs, une entrée opératoire dans le dess(e)in de l’habitabilité des espaces publics contemporains
Today, habitability of living space is particularly acute for those involved in urban production. Does this mean that the contracting authorities are the only prescribers capable of assessing the degree of habitability of a place? Certainly not. It is necessary to accept that, beyond the respect of these city makers, the customs of the city require us to consider the movement, the transitions and the multiple intermediate situations which, according to temporal, social and spatial sequences to be invented, allow the individual to appropriate an environment that is his own. The co-production experience conducted in the urban project of the La Duchère district in Lyon for two major public spaces will be presented. The project process promotes the emergence of a recognition of plural knowledge and characterizes the conjunctive social design approach. Backed by the social design of the project process, spatial design contributes to the design of the livability of the product spaces.
