To examine these matters, this study uses descriptive analysis methods with criticisms of feminist literature and theories of narratology, cross-culture, and identity. A structural approach is used to analyze the narrative structure that builds the narrator's frame of mind. The results of the study show that as a narrator who truly lives a mixed marriage, experiences polygamy, and has embraced Islam, Caroline Pochon realizes that mixed marriages are not easy to live by because she must try to maintain her identity as a French woman.
