Hippocampal calcification and its effects on cognitive function and symptoms in dementia

Hippocampal calcification (HC), highly prevalent in older people, has not attracted attention until recently. Despite its potential effects on cognition and behaviour, and its possible impact on the diagnosis and severity of dementia, it has not been investigated.
