She is a senior curator of prints in the Word and Image Department at the V&A working mostly on European prints from before 1700. Between 2004 and 2006 she was Associate Director of the AHRC Centre for the Study of the Domestic Interior, and in 2006 contributed an essay to the V&A exhibition catalogue At Home in Renaissance Italy.
