In this study the multifaceted contributions of expatriates to the control and operations of subsidiaries are emphasized, although a significant positive relationship between the use of expatriates and subsidiary performance is found only for certain observation periods and on some of the performance indicators. The Relationship between the Employment of Expatriates and the Subsidiary Performance of Multinational Companies in Five CEE Countries
