Simplificar la CDU para navegar las estanterías con el GPS bibliográfico en la Biblioteca “Jean Sonet sj”, de la Universidad Católica de Córdoba

With the aim of improving the document access service, two actions are described, one framed within the process of continuous improvement of the quality management system through the project to simplify the classification of the racks and the other, within the framework of the innovation process through the development of a bibliographic GPS. Both are aimed at minimizing the difficulty for users to locate bibliographic material in the open shelving system of the Jean Sonet sj Library at the Catholic University of Cordoba, a situation that has been detected since the library moved to the new building by offering direct access to the shelves. After the execution of the aforementioned actions, a lower incidence of consultations in the public service sector on the location of documents has been observed; in turn, the evaluation of the users of this service was highly positive.
