Plethora of plants – collections of the Botanical Garden, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (8): genus Salvia L. (Lamiaceae)
This paper comprises a study of the plant lists of Salvia, as genus of plants from 11 subgenera in the mint family (Lamiaceae) grown in Zagreb Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science since 1895 until 2022. Synonymy, nomenclature and origin of plant material have been sorted. Lists of species grown in the last 127 years have been constructed to show that during that period at least 126 taxa from the genus Salvia (2 from subgen. Audiberia, 40 from subgen. Calosphace, 6 from subgen. Glutinaria, 8 from subgen. "Heterosphace” (informal designation for this group), 2 from subgen. Perovskia, 2 from subgen. Rosmarinus, 18 from subgen.
