The many facets of design computation in contemporary architecture

This Open issue of the International Journal of Architectural Computing reflects both the buoyant nature of the discipline and the ever-broadening range of ways that computational means are being used across a wide range of activities in Architecture. The span is from evolution of design and analysis ideas, to the to the application in Construction and Practice, and finally to work that focusses on the necessary education to spread understanding of current issues effectively. This is reflected in the fact that there are three sections to this issue of the Journal, picking up each of these three major themes.
