Primera cita del elusivo calamar oceánico Thysanoteuthis rhombus Troschel, 1857 (Cephalopoda: Thysanoteuthidae) en la costa catalana

The diamondback squid Thysanoteuthis rhombus Troschel, 1857 is a large and elusive oceanic squid species. Here, we provide the first record of the species for the Catalan coast and integrate this finding in the current knowledge of the species in close areas.

期刊介绍： Graellsia was fist published in 1943 and the journal name honours Mariano de la Paz Graells. For 44 years the journal was devoted to Iberian entomology, but in 1987 it started publishing papers on zoology in general. More recently, Graellsia has restricted its scope and currently publishes original and unpublished papers on Zoological Diversity, including taxonomic, faunistic, biogeographic, chorological, evolutionary and conservation studies. Notes, news and book reviews are also published in the corresponding sections. Formerly Graellsia was published by CSIC with financial support from the Ministry. When this financial support for spanish scientific journals ceased, Sociedad de Amigos del Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales stepped in to take care of journal edition, with the goal of contributing to the advance of knowledge in Zoology.
