The extraction of essential oil of the aerial parts ofLaurus nobilisL. was conducted by the hydrodistillation method. Antimicrobial activity test was performed on five bacterial strains (Klebsiella pneumoniae,Escherichia coli,Proteus mirabilis,Enterobacter cloacae,Enterococcus faecalis). The results showed thatLaurus nobilisEO has moderate antibacterial activity. In addition, the antifungal activity of theLaurus nobilisL. EO was analyzed; the direct contact method was performed onFusarium sporotrichioidesin different EO concentrations (0.05, 0.25, and 0.5% of EO).
