独自一人在一个新的国家和在竞争激烈的学术界生存的压力把我吓死了。除了写作，我找不到更好的方法来治愈我。写作帮助我理解世界，更接近真实的自己。这篇文章讲述了我自己作为一名越南、酷儿、移民教师为接受我作为一名作家的身份而进行的斗争。此外，写这篇文章有助于我更接近于在高等教育中进行学术写作的颓废。
