Gobernanza del ecosistema manglar en el territorio colectivo de las comunidades negras del río Cajambre, Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca: estudio de caso

is study was conducted in the collective territory of the black communities along the River Cajambre, particularly three communities located in the lower basin, in the rural área of Buenaventura City, Valle del Cauca. Qualitative research techniques, such as semi-structured interviews to key actors (leaders and members of the local community council), focus groups (two in each community with mangrove users and insider observation) during 2017 and 2018. e analysis categories included: ethnic community-identity; collective territory-territorialization-territoriality; management and collective goods/property use; and autonomy and governance. e research process allowed knowing the ways of organization, planning and decision-making in the local communities linked to the use, management, and preservation of the mangrove ecosystem. It also allowed identifying the exploitation practices for the goods derived from the mangrove (wood and marine invertebrates) and determining the dynamics and tensions in the exercise of the governance, as related to the planning instruments set out in a participatory way by the villagers.
