Karyomorphological Analysis of Syzygium laetum (Myrtaceae): An Endemic Species from Western Ghats of India

Summary Syzygium laetum (Myrtaceae) is an endemic species of Western Ghats. The karyomorphology is reported for the ﬁrst time with mitotic chromosome number 2 n =22. The karyotype formula is 2 n =22=18m+4sm. The karyotype is a 2A type of the Stebbins category.
