In this review, the science of atmospheric corrosion on metallic materials was reviewed in the light of the chemical and physical composition of atmospheric bioaerosols and aerosols. It was observed that aside from general conditions (i.e., alloying element level, surface roughness, surface treatment, and microclimate), the bioaerosols content is essential for future research in corrosion.
