In the preoperative period, specialists had difficulties in determining the nature of the neoplasm, which led to some tactical complications. The patient underwent pancreaticoduodenal resection that involved resection of the pancreatic body, as well as the confluence of the superior mesenteric and splenic veins. The histologic and immunohistochemical studies confirmed the diagnosis of pancreatoblastoma.
