The diagnostic evaluation remains complex, warranting an integrated assessment of history, physical exam, echocardiogram, chest imaging including computerized tomography with angiography, ventilation–perfusion scanning, right heart catheterization, catheter-based pulmonary angiography, and assessment for medical and mechanical CTEPH risk factors.
