颞下颌关节(Temporomandibular joint, TMJ)外科关节镜检查已成为治疗内部紊乱、退行性关节疾病及骨关节炎等不同病理的常用手术。尽管在进行不同的关节镜手术过程中需要许多器械，如触诊器、镊子、剪刀、刮刀、手术刀和电动终端，但最重要的是拥有允许外科医生安全切割和凝固组织的设备。消融(冷消融)是一种使用射频电能通过盐水溶液并产生等离子体的过程，等离子体可以精确地应用于组织以破坏细胞内的分子键。该手术技术已成为进行不同关节镜手术技术的最佳手术选择。滑膜炎区域的消融、粘连的溶解、前路松解的椎间盘活动技术(囊囊切开术或肌切开术)以及后路椎间盘组织凝固是最常见的手术方法。椎间盘穿孔、软骨软化症、滑膜软骨瘤病(SC)和关节过度活动也可以使用消融技术治疗。
