It is 16,776 bp in length and contains 37 genes and one control region as the typical gene arrangement and transcriptional direction in vertebrates. The overall base composition is 31.7% A, 26.8% C, 13.5% G and 28.1% T. The 22 tRNA genes ranged from 67 bp (tRNA-Ser2) to 75 bp (tRNA-Leu1). The origin of L-strand replication (OL) sequence was identified between tRNA-Asn and tRNA-Cys genes. 本研究首次发现环纹吉他鱼Rhinobatos hynnicephalus的线粒体全基因组,这也是鼻虫科的第一个代表。全长16776 bp,包含37个基因和1个控制区,是脊椎动物典型的基因排列和转录方向。总碱基组成为31.7% A, 26.8% C, 13.5% G和28.1% t。22个tRNA基因的范围从67 bp (tRNA- ser2)到75 bp (tRNA- leu1)不等。鉴定了tRNA-Asn和tRNA-Cys基因之间l -链复制(OL)序列的起源。在控制区识别出终止相关序列(TAS)和保守序列块(csb1 -3)。

Descriptive papers on DNA sequences from mitochondrial genomes, and also analytical papers in the areas of population genetics, medical genetics, phylogenetics and human evolution that use mitochondrial DNA as a source of evidence for studies will be considered for publication. The editorial board will also consider manuscripts that examine population genetic and systematic theory that specifically address the use of mitochondrial DNA sequences.
