This conference report highlights selected presentations on the cancer stem cell hypothesis, stem cell therapy for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, GRNOPC-1 for spinal cord injury, the use of cord blood stem cells for spinal cord injury, mesenchymal stem cell research and applications in cardiac therapy, tissue engineering, and very small embryonic-like stem cells.
