We report an immunocompetent adult with HHV-6-associated meningoencephalitis. The patient was an elderly diabetic man who presented with fever and confusion, with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pleocytosis. HHV-6 DNA was amplified from CSF by polymerase chain reaction.
