The aim of this study was to determine the serotype distribution in a collection of 286 GBS strains isolated in Mexico from asymptomatic carriers and in adult and neonatal invasive disease cases.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>The collection included GBS strains isolated between January 1988 and April 1998 at the Instituto Nacional de Perinatologia and Hospital de Pediatria in Mexico City.
