This is a system of nonlinear differential equations describing concentrations of immunocompetent B-lymphocytes, plasma cells, antibodies and antigen. The model reproduces cyclic kinetics of the immune reaction to slowly catabolizing antigens which is observed experimentally. Within the framework of the model a description of the mechanism of origin of oscillatory modes of the dynamics of the immune response is presented.
