treatments. The most frequently affected organs in this sytem are the pituitary and thyroid glands as well as the testes and ovaries. Complete or partial failure of these organs at high risk is imperative if early intervention is to be effective. In an effort to reduce the morbidity of these patients, the Pennsylvania Pediatric Oncology Network was developed to determine the rehabilitative needs of long-term survivors. This project includes five major tertiary care institutions in the State, offers care to children with cancer, and evaluates all long-term survivors in a systematic manner to determine their needs.
