SE values declined progressively with age in both males and females, with females demonstrating significantly lower median SE values than males beginning at age 10.</p><p><strong>What are the implications for public health practice?: </strong>Hyperopic reserve requires systematic monitoring, particularly among females approaching puberty and younger children.
