The stereotype movements were monitored by video and electromyographic recording of quadriceps femoris and hamstring muscles. Administration of para-chlorophenylbutyric acid (baclofen) dramatically stopped the involuntary movements and electromyographic silence ensued. Voluntary muscle movements were preserved.
