The double-edged sword: Psychedelic-assisted therapy and entrepreneurial well-being, an early conceptual framework

The emergence of psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) as a legal mental health treatment presents novel implications for entrepreneurship research and practice. Drawing on evidence from psychedelic science and entrepreneurship literature, we examine how PAT might (for some) reshape entrepreneurial well-being via cognitive and affective mechanisms. We develop a conceptual model linking PAT to entrepreneurial well-being through cognitive enhancement, emotional regulation, and adaptive capacity. Our framework identifies key boundary conditions and contingencies affecting these relationships.
