The spectrum of six times ionized cadmium (Cd VII)
The spectrum of the Cd+6 ion excited in a vacuum spark and recorded with high resolution was studied in the range 170–320 Å. About 390 spectral lines of the 4p64d6 − (4p64d55p + 4p64d54f + 4p54d7) transitions were identified for the first time. All but one energy levels of the ground term configuration 4p64d6 were established. It also resulted in the determination of 171 and 36 levels of the 4p64d55p and (4p64d54f + 4p54d7) configurations, respectively.
