摘要
晚泥盆纪(法门纪)最早的种子植物的胚珠通常因保存而分离,并被一对儿包围。这些胚珠的功能需要更多的研究。根据野外采集的植物化石,我们用钢针制作了大量标本,并制作了许多胚珠横切面。结果,在中国法门系发现了一个新分类单元Sinolobotheca octa gen. et sp. nov.。它的胚珠顶生光滑的二分枝和缺乏小丘。每个胚珠具有8个独特的被片,近端融合,远端收敛,但在侧面分开,大部分不含珠心,具有长而平坦的单个裂片,沿侧壁向外弯曲,含有大量薄壁细胞。Sinolobotheca gen. 11 .证实了最早的胚珠通常生长在没有叶子的二分枝上。这表明,在法门胚珠中,偶对可能会丢失,珠被的复杂性(包括扁平化)和重要性增加。这也表明,除了保护、传粉和传播功能外,最早的胚珠在光合作用和营养/水分储存方面还进化出了额外的或新的功能。Sinolobotheca胚珠缺乏分化的心尖,可能不意味着早期种子植物的水叉生殖特征。
