Among them, BIM technology, as the core of intelligent construction system, can integrate the construction information of multiple disciplines and stages by digital means, thus realizing the efficient collaboration and information sharing in the design process, and achieving the purposes of improving design efficiency, optimizing design scheme and reducing the risk of construction projects. In this regard, this paper will conduct in-depth research on the practical application effect of BIM digital collaborative design in intelligent building system, and complete the description and elaboration of BIM collaborative design process with practical cases. Practice has proved that BIM technology has great potential in the field of digital collaborative design, which covers the design and establishment of various models, the sharing and collaboration of building information, construction simulation and detection, and data delivery and management.
