Firstly, the proposed model is validated by considering experimental data available in the literature, related to bending tests on two cantilever microbeams, each of them containing a single edge crack (i.e., \n<span></span><math>\n <semantics>\n <mrow>\n <mi>n</mi>\n <mo>=</mo>\n <mn>1</mn>\n </mrow>\n <annotation>$$ n&amp;#x0003D;1 $$</annotation>\n </semantics></math>).
