However, there is still a significant proportion of patients whose disease remains intrinsically resistant to treatment and most patients eventually develop secondary resistance after an initial response. Additionally, unique side effects of FGFR inhibitors may limit their efficacy in clinical practice and can have detrimental effects on quality of life. Introduction: Cholangiocarcinoma is the rare and aggressive tumor with poor prognosis and limited therapeutic options. Dysregulation of fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor (FGFR) signaling is significantly associated with tumorigenesis of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and has been identified as a targetable alteration.
